CONTEST RULES
PS5 SHOWDOWN · OFFICIAL RULES FALL 2026No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances. This is a contest of skill.
BEFORE YOU PLAY
Short version or long version?
Same contest either way. One of them just has more commas.
- WHO
- Florida residents, 18 or older. Your ID has to say Florida (sorry, snowbirds).
- UPDATED
- Nov 3: we extended the contest to Nov 18 so more of Florida gets a shot. Runs you already posted still count.
- WHEN
- Open now. Closes Nov 18, 2026, 11:59 pm ET, the night before GTA 6. Real time, not Florida time.
- HOW
- Laptop or desktop (phones sit this one out). Post your score with your Kick account. Only your best run counts, so run it back.
- RANKING
- Most right wins. Fastest time breaks ties. Still tied? Whoever posted first.
- ALLOWED
- AI and Googling: yes, it's a speedrun. Bots, scripts, tampering: no. We will notice.
- THE FINAL
- The top 3 play a fresh round live on Kick, on a Discord call with mongrlz, on GTA 6 day, Nov 19. Start time posted on the board by Nov 17. Clear your schedule.
- THE PRIZE
- PS5 Pro + GTA 6, about $950. Yes, the real one. The winner gets GTA 6 as a code the moment they're crowned; the console goes out right after.
- HEADS UP
- We never ask for payment, passwords or bank details. Anyone who does is a scammer in a trench coat.
That's the gist. The lawyer version is the official one, commas and all.
- Who runs it. The contest is run and paid for by mongrlz / NOC Labs ("we"). It is not sponsored, endorsed or run by, or associated with, Sony, PlayStation, Best Buy, Snap Inc., Kick, Rockstar Games, Take-Two or Miami Dade College. Kick Community College is a fan-made world.
- Who can enter. Legal residents of Florida who are 18 or older when they enter. People in our household can't win. You'll need a valid government ID showing a Florida address to claim the prize.
- Dates. The contest opens November 2, 2026, at 3:15 pm ET and closes November 18, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET. The live final is played after the contest closes, on the date in rule 6. (Updated November 3, 2026: the closing date was extended from November 8 to November 18, 2026, and the final moved to November 19. Nothing else about how you enter or win changed, and runs already posted still count.)
- How to enter. Play "How Tapped In Are You?" at howtappedin.com (the old address, tappedin.mongrlz.dev, sends you there) on a desktop or laptop computer (phones aren't supported, so everyone competes with a keyboard and mouse), then post your score to the speedrun board by logging in with your Kick account. A free Kick account is fine. Entry is free. Play as many times as you like; your best run counts. One Kick account per person. Duplicate or shared accounts are disqualified.
- How it's scored. Every player in a round gets the same questions in a shuffled order. Ranking is by most correct answers first, then the fastest time, then whoever posted first. Using AI or looking things up is allowed (it's part of the fun). Bots, scripts, automated play, tampering with the site, or any other way of faking a run is not, and those runs are removed.
- The live final. The top 3 eligible players on the Round 1 board when the contest closes are invited to the live final. They play a fresh round of questions live on stream at kick.com/mongrlz while on a Discord voice call with mongrlz, on November 19, 2026 (we send finalists the link; a free Discord account is needed). The start time is announced on the speedrun board and on @mongrlz on X by November 17, 2026. Finalists are verified before the final starts. The highest score wins; if scores tie, the fastest time wins. If a finalist can't attend or can't be verified, the next player on the board takes their place. The winner receives the Grand Theft Auto VI code right after they are crowned, and we hand over or ship the console right after that.
- The prize. One (1) PlayStation 5 Pro console (it may come as a retail bundle) and one (1) copy of Grand Theft Auto VI for PS5 (delivered as a digital code, or a physical copy if the winner prefers), approximate total retail value $950, bought new by us from an authorized retailer (such as Best Buy or PlayStation Direct). We hand it to the winner in person in South Florida or ship it to their Florida address. If the console can't be obtained, the winner gets a gift card of the same value instead. No cash alternative. The prize can't be transferred. Any taxes are the winner's responsibility.
- Contacting finalists. Finalists are announced on the speedrun board and contacted through Discord (we message you from mongrlz; you can also message mongrlz on Discord) after the contest closes. We'll never ask for payment, passwords or bank details. Anyone who asks you for those isn't us. If a finalist doesn't respond by 12:00 pm ET on November 19, 2026, the next player on the board is invited.
- Your info. To play, we store only an anonymous ID for the site (no IP addresses, no tracking cookies). To post a score, you log in with Kick and we keep your Kick user ID, username and profile picture, and the area code you pick, if you pick one, plus a login cookie that expires after 30 days or when you log out. Kick's login screen lists "read user information (incl. email)" because Kick requires that permission for every app: we never read or store your email, and we don't keep any Kick login token. Finalists share an ID and contact details with us only to verify eligibility and deliver the prize, and we don't keep them afterward.
- The fine print. We can disqualify anyone who cheats, harasses others or breaks these rules. If the contest can't run as planned (a site outage, tampering, technical failure), we may pause, adjust or end it fairly and announce it publicly. Void where prohibited. By entering, you agree to these rules. Questions: message mongrlz on Discord.
